Agreed Erick, and this is why MF1 is attempting to right the wrong this weekend and run a proper United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, NOT the Austin ShiTilke track.

This is one of those tracks you could just run all day non stop, I did 2 short runs yesterday and got so into it I literally ran out of fuel twice without knowing.
Plus me and dann raced side by side for 2 laps straight, which was tons of fun :woohoo:
Amazingly fun track, damn.

The race will be delayed on Sunday and begin immediately after the F1 US Grand Prix.

The real F1 race is scheduled from 3-5 EST. We normally start @4:00 EST. Usually the F1 races do not take the full 2 hour time slot so we will begine our itinerary immediately following the race.

Sadly, it looks like I will not make this race.. Much like last week, things have become very hectic both at work and here at home since the move into the new house..

Qualy, i posted a decent lap out of the box, i couldnt improve on it until a few laps later.
Saw dann in 2nd which was great to see, but mike bested him and came within .140 of me, so i tried to do anotehr run but failed at it, luckily mike did too, and i kept pole.

Race; started well off the line, got a decent gap to the pack, and ran from there, stayed out 2-3 laps longer than Morten and Mike, could have done more, but i saw mike was way faster on the new set, so i had to pit to cover him. Came out 3 secods ahead, and we went from 1.5 to 4 seconds, each of us doing little mistakes every so often. I tried chasing the fastest lap again (even though i had it) with 5 to go, and pulled away from mike a bit, but then locked up in the boot, had a huge concentration loss, but kept pushing, resulting in more mistakes, with mike eventually passing me, for missing the uphill left hander.

Great race, bummed not to make it 3 in a row, but hopefully i can stay strong for the last 3 races, even though exams are starting immediately after Brazil :(

had been slagging off all week, so only got a bit of practise in before the F1 race in Austin

But the race was kewl, had a race long battle with Derka, we were no more than 3sek. apart through out the hole race, apart from when we took our pitstops, managed to stay ahead and finish 3rd in the end, with Derka in 4th, bring on those team points :woohoo:
And WD to Mike on the win, only took you 9 rounds :silly:

Like last time my recorded live stream :)

Well it has been a year of "oh so close" for me. I had a car that could have won at Silverstone, Estoril, Fuji and Hockenheim. Of course you would never know since I seem to mess it up somehow... and then we can talk about my poor starts off the grid! The Fuji qual had stood out as the bright spot of my season until now. The last two qual sessions being narrowly beat out by Z has been just as sweet as Fuji even though I have come out behind a bit.

Thanks to all for the kindness. It feels good just to be close in the points. To be close in points to Z who is wicked fast, and to Morten who is rock solid is really an honor. Nine GPs in the books, and I am still close. Pretty darn cool.

Three more GPs to go... lets finish this out strong!
